here i am, send me!

A friend just posted this on fb and it's been awhile since I've heard such a bold call to missions. It reminds me of a John Piper talk I watched several years ago as I was thinking about where to go overseas. So, here's the video and then the comments that were below on fb.

A: Good stuff, really good stuff. It's been awhile since I've heard such a bold call to missions. And it's so good to hear again and again. Good, good stuff. Thanks for the post! It's really encouraging. and it makes me think of Isaiah. I've been studying Isaiah and the past few days focusing on chapter 6. I love the picture of Isaiah standing before the throne of God struck by God's glory and his sin and then after the Lord cleanses him of sin, God asks, "Who shall I send?" and Isaiah responds, "Here I am, send me." I want to be one continually awed by God and one who knows that my life and all that I have is not my own. Thanks for the reminders & thanks for your example in going. We do need to find a way to hang out one of these days. Blessings to you!
