I think this song is great. I have for a long while. And from time to time when I am more melancholy I especially like it, so anyway, here you go:

"The Worst Is Being Alone" - Don Chaffer

"'Aaron, have you ever had a burning in your chest that made you just want to be free.' It was a warm afternoon when she asked him this as they sat on the shore of the sea.

Well, Aaron just tugged at his hair and took a very long time to reply. By the time that he spoke, she'd forgotten she'd asked. She was lost in the clouds of the sky.

He said, 'Carrie I don't think I've ever wanted as much to be free as I've longed to be known. But of the things that I hate as I look at my life, the worst is my being alone. Oh, the worst is my being alone.'

The rest of his words he kept from her ears 'cause he thought she might not understand. And she didn't reply. She couldn't figure out how cause the heart in her heart had been failed. Oh of all the things known that he could have spoken that day, he chose one from deep down inside. Without intending her to, he caused her to confess the false confidence in how she had loved.

'Aaron I don't think I've ever wanted as much to be free as I've longed to be known. But of the things that I hate as I look at my life, the worst is my being alone. Oh, the worst is my being alone.'

As they headed home, neither of them could speak a word. And they held their own spirits today, but at the pulse of the wave they both turned around thinking someone was calling their name. Oh, someone was calling their name."

Some songs I was listening to today...

The Lord seems to often speak to me through music. Here are a couple songs I was listening to today that spoke to my heart.

Mi Jesús mi amado - Jesús Adrian Romero
My Jesus, My Beloved/Love

Vengo a rendirme a tus pies agradecido Señor
I come to surrender myself at your feet thankfully, God
Me perdonaste cambiaste mi corazón
You forgave me, you changed my heart
Tu vida diste por mí en una muerte tan cruel
Your life that you gave for me in a horribly cruel death
Por que me amaste siendo yo un vil pecador.
Because you loved me, even as a vile sinner.

Quiero postrarme ante ti Jesús y en silencio
I want to bow down before you, Jesus, and in silence
Reconocer que tu amor por mi no merezco.
Recognize that your love for me is unearned / unmerited.
Mi Jesús mi amado
My Jesus, my Love/Beloved

Quiero postrarme ante ti para adorar Mi Jesús mi amado
I want to bow down before you to worship, my Jesus, my Love
Quiero regar con mis lágrimas tus pies
I want to shower your feet with my tears
Quiero besarlos y así permanecer
I want to kiss your feet and there remain
Y derramar ante ti todo mi ser.
And pour out before you all that I am

Take Me - Don Chaffer

"Old ain't a word the I'm fond of," he said.
"And these days I've begun to lose count."
Mumbling she rolls in her wheelchair, and says,
"I'm afraid that they've closed my account."

There's a blur that occurs in the line of their life
That decays the whole notion of sense
And they call to the past, insisting that it last,
While they're climbing down reality's fence

Singing with me
Take me
Take me
Write my name in the most Holy Tome
And when it's my time
To assume the sublime,
Take me to my promised home

And their hands aren't gnarled, they're in love with the earth
And they're dying to go there again
We say the essence of life is strong in our youth,
Slowly buried under wrinkles of skin

But there's God in the way that life comes to an end,
In the way that it draws to a close,
In the saying of soul to the house of the skin,
You're too weak now to really oppose.

Take me
Take me
Write my name in the most Holy Tome
And when it's my time
To assume the sublime,
Take me to my promised home

Center - Charlie Hall

You’re the center of the universe
Everything was made in You Jesus
Breath of every living thing
Everyone was made for You

:Pre-Chorus:
You hold everything together
You hold everything together

:chorus:
Christ be the center of our lives
Be the place we fix our eyes
Be the center of our lives

We lift our eyes to heaven
We wrap our lives around your life
We lift our eyes to heaven, to You

songs about grace

"love is not against the law" - derek webb

(Vs. 1)
politics or love
can make you blind or make you see
make you a slave or make you free
but only one does it all

and it’s giving up your life
for the ones you hate the most
it’s giving them your gown
when they’ve taken your clothes

it’s learning to admit
when you’'ve had a hand in setting them up
in knocking them down

(chorus)
love is not against the law
love is not against the law

(vs. 2)
are we defending life
when we just pick and choose
lives acceptable to lose
and which ones to defend

‘cause you cannot choose your friends
but you choose your enemies
and what if they were one
one and the same

could you find a way
to love them both the same
to give them your name

(chorus)
love is not against the law
love is not against the law
---

"my enemies are just like me" - derek webb

I have come to give you life
And to show you how to live it
I have come to make things right
To heal their ears and show you how to forgive them

Because I would rather die
I would rather die
I would rather die
Than to take your life

How can I kill the ones I'm supposed to love
My enemies are men like me
I will protest the sword if it's not wielded well
My enemies are men like me

Peace by way of war is like purity by way of fornication
It's like telling someone murder is wrong
And then showing them by way of execution

When justice is bought and sold just like weapons of war
The ones who always pay are the poorest of the poor
---

"a new law" - derek webb

(vs. 1)
don’t teach me about politics and government
just tell me who to vote for
don’t teach me about truth and beauty
just label my music

don’t teach me how to live like a free man
just give me a new law

(pre-chorus)
i don’t wanna know if the answers aren'’t easy
so just bring it down from the mountain to me

(chorus)
i want a new law
i want a new law
gimme that new law

(vs. 2)
don’t teach me about moderation and liberty
i prefer a shot of grape juice

don’t teach me about loving my enemies

don’t teach me how to listen to the Spirit
just give me a new law

(pre-chorus)
i don’t wanna know if the answers aren'’t easy
so just bring it down from the mountain to me

(chorus)
i want a new law
i want a new law
gimme that new law

(bridge)
what’s the use in trading a law you can never keep
for one you can that cannot get you anything
do not be afraid
do not be afraid
do not be afraid

Let The Name Of God Be High (Psalm 113)
written by Don Chaffer; performed by Derek Webb

All of you who call yourselves the children of God
Lift His name to the high place in your hearts

From the moment the sun rises
From the place it crests the earth
To the moment the sun sets, and
To the place it slips into the sea

Let the name of God be high
Let the name of God be high
In the hearts of His people
Let the name of God be high
Let the name of God be high
In the hearts of His people
Morning to evening
Midnight to noon

At this moment
And for all the moments that are yet to come
Let His name ascend in the hearts of His people
