fun spanish bands

recently i've gotten to know several spanish bands, mainly by way of knowing people in the bands, but also by checking out "friends" of the band. here are a few that i particularly like. you can find their website via the "music i've been listening to recently" tab.

in no particular order...first is "my dear flotsam" of which my friend iñaki plays the drums. they are indie music similar to death cab for cutie.


second is "ni uno bueno" of which i now know most of the band. the people i know best are jomi, the bass player, dani, the trumpeter, and juan marcos, the saxophonist. their music is full of energy and is a mix of salsa, ska, and rock, with a bit of tango in one song and some spanish touches. they just came out with a new cd, which will be released shortly.


and last but not least, "this grace," who presently are residing mainly in london. i don't really know much about them, but i like what i've heard online. they are apparently are friends with "my dear flotsam."
